Description:

Learn about the time-honored tradition of legacy letters, more recently called Ethical Wills, and how this non-binding document (and supporting items) offers clients a high-impact opportunity to convey their insights, wisdom, history, and values to loved ones and stakeholders. Such legacy materials are often used to clarify traditional estate planning documents, therefore lessening potential conflicts.

Learning Objectives:

  • Know when to use a legacy letter and/or ethical will, and how to do so in a way that brings maximum value to your clients.
  • Learn some of the basic components of an ethical will that your clients can replicate.
  • Discover new ideas on how to support clients in creating legacy materials.
