This presentation addresses the current struggles of the life insurance industry and the disappointing carrier reactions to these challenges. The challenges include a carrier’s loss of earnings due to an excessively long period of time of low interest rates as well as increased regulation and reserve guidelines. The negative carrier reactions include the shift of risk away from themselves and onto the consumer. It also includes increases of pricing/costs on current in-force life insurance and, likely, future business.
Participants will understand:
• The major issues within each specific life insurance product segment and how to avoid them
• Best practices within each product segment and how to maximize efficiency for each to best serve clients
• How to protect clients from further damage and uncertainty in their life insurance policies
