NAPFA is sponsoring an important advocacy event. NAPFA, along with The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP® Board) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA), partner organizations in the Financial Planning Coalition, are sponsoring a Coalition “Congressional Advocacy Day” scheduled for September 29, 2021.
NAPFA members and other leaders will have the opportunity to personally meet with Members of Congress and Administration officials to advocate in support of the financial planning profession.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic and resulting health restrictions, face-to-face meetings with Congress on Capitol Hill are generally discouraged.
On September 27, 2021 at 2pm ET, the Coalition will hold a virtual pre-meeting orientation for approximately one hour to review protocols for the event and talking points for the meetings. Watch for the orientation details coming in September.
Virtual Meeting Format
Participants will meet via videoconference with a Member of Congress and key Congressional Staff. Since we will not know the exact time for a meeting until shortly before the event, please leave your schedule open for the entire day of September 29. There is no fee to participate.
Congressional Advocacy Day Registration Closes July 1.
