Kim Bridges is the Founder of Bright Women Financial, a financial planning firm dedicated to helping women gain clarity, confidence, and control over their finances.
After spending 17 years in the wealth management industry and witnessing how often women are overlooked and ignored by the industry, Kim built Bright Women Financial to focus first, and foremost, on the needs of women.
Previously, Kim held positions as a Senior Vice President and Director of Financial Planning for BOK Financial, and as a Senior Financial Planner at Commerce Trust Company, BMO Private Bank, and Stoker Ostler Wealth Advisors.
Kim has a passion for educating and empowering women to make smart financial decisions and this passion fueled her desire to earn a doctorate in personal financial planning from Texas Tech University. Her graduate research focused on women’s financial issues, and she has become a recognized expert in this area, presenting to audiences of women and the advisors who serve them across the United States and Canada.
Prior to her academic experience, Kim served as a United States Marine. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in human ecology and Master of Science degree in family studies and human services with an emphasis in family financial planning from Kansas State University. Additionally, Kim holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® and Retirement Management Advisor® designations. Kim served on the national board of directors for the Financial Planning Association and is a former president of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Phoenix. Kim has four children and five grandchildren, and lives with her husband, Chuck, in Buckeye, Arizona where they enjoy pickleball, golf, paddleboarding, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
