PROGRAM INFORMATION

10:00 am Presentation - The Transition Clock: Why Starting Early Changes Everything. Business owners who wait too long to begin succession planning don't just leave economic value on the table, but they also lose the ability to shape their own outcome. This session reveals why the timing of transition planning is the single most consequential variable in determining whether a business transition succeeds or falls short of expectations. Drawing on real transaction experience, attendees will explore the planning behaviors, structural decisions, and advisory relationships that separate confident, well-prepared sellers from those who exit reactively and with regret. This session speaks to financial planners in two roles: as trusted advisors to business owner clients, and as business owners themselves - the same principles that protect their clients apply directly to their own future transitions.

Phoebe is Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Syntropy Capital Advisors, a boutique, relationship-driven M&A advisory firm. Prior to Syntropy, she co-founded Sabi Partners, a search fund focused on thesis-driven investing in founder-owned and operated businesses, where she led thesis generation, deal sourcing, due diligence, and transaction structuring as a private company buyer.

Before that, Phoebe spent nearly a decade as a Banker in the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Dallas, advising ultra-high net worth individuals, families, and foundations across banking, lending, investing, and estate and wealth transfer planning. She began her career in public accounting as an auditor, primarily serving family-owned and operated businesses across industries.

Phoebe earned her MS in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business as a Robert L. Joss Scholar, where she served as Co-President of the Student Association and published the Women's Search Network's inaugural newsletter series. She also holds an MS and BBA in Accounting and a Minor in Advertising from Southern Methodist University. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.

11:00 am Presentation - In this program advisors gain a better understanding of market events impacting their clients over the past quarter. It provides an alternative to traditional financial media, since the material is designed to help advisors work with clients. With a better understanding of recent events, advisors can anticipate what questions clients are likely to ask over the coming months.

Mr. McInnis meets regularly with advisors and institutions to explain Avantis' investment capabilities and discuss various topics related to asset allocation, risk budgeting and portfolio construction. In addition, he oversees all marketing content development surrounding Avantis' investment approach and speaks frequently at industry conferences. He is a member of the American Century Board of Directors .

Prior to Avantis Investors' establishment in 2019, Mr. McInnis was a vice president and head of portfolio solutions at Dimensional Fund Advisors in Austin, TX, where he oversaw a team charged with developing content to explain Dimensional's investment approach and helping clients on topics related to asset allocation, manager evaluation, and risk budgeting. Prior to Dimensional, Mr. McInnis was an Investment Consultant at Towers Watson (now WTW), working predominantly with corporate and public defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans.
