    Kathleen M. Rehl, Ph.D., CFP®, CeFT® Emeritus, is an award-winning author, educator, researcher, and “reFired” financial planner who has spent more than three decades helping individuals and families navigate life’s major transitions, especially widowhood, retirement, and later-life planning.

    A former founder of Rehl Financial Advisors and educator with The American College of Financial Services, Kathleen brings together professional experience, published research, and lived insight to explore how financial, housing, and care decisions unfold over time. Now living in a continuing care retirement community, she continues her work through writing, speaking, and informal research on aging, housing choices, and proactive planning.

    Kathleen is the author of Moving Forward on Your Own: A Financial Guidebook for Widows and a frequent contributor to leading industry publications. She is delighted to reconnect with fellow Phoenix Gang colleagues for this reflective and practical conversation.
